The neo-Gothic style Cushing Hall of Engineering was constructed in 1932 to provide more space for the growing engineering program at Notre Dame. Today, it houses a mixture of laboratories, classrooms, and faculty offices for the College of Engineering. Cushing features the Engineering Student Center and Engineering Learning Center which is a focal point for many undergraduate learning activities.

Within Cushing Hall, the AME Department maintains the:

CAD/CAM Design Laboratory and Rapid Prototyping Equipment

Multiscale and Multiphysics Simulations Laboratory

Machine Shop
