Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering

Fitzpatrick Hall of Engineering was constructed in 1979 to be completely continuous with Cushing Hall of Engineering. With 146,000 square feet, however, Fitzpatrick is nearly twice as large as Cushing. The interesting feature which accounts for the extra space is that two of the building's five stories are under ground, and considerably larger than those above ground. These bottom levels house many of the high-tech laboratories in Fitzpatrick.

Other than the labs, Fitzpatrick also houses the Engineering Library, all of the Engineering Departmental offices including the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering office, classrooms, and a large computer cluster. The Fitzpatrick Computer Cluster contains over 90 workstations, personal computers, and printers.
