Donny Hanjaya-Putra
Assistant Professor, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
Areas of Interest
The Hanjaya-Putra Research Group works at the interface of engineering and medicine, with a motivation on making stem cell and molecular therapies as an effective method to model and treat diseases. We collaborate widely and emphasize those projects that can teach us fundamental principles of engineering and stem cell biology, while also pointing the way to translational science.
Areas of interest include:
- Stem cell and epigenetic engineering to understand the mechanisms governing stem cell fate and differentiation, in particular for their application in cardiovascular and lymphatic disorders
- Biomimetic materials to control stem cell and tissue morphogenesis into the blood and lymphatic vasculatures
- Harnessing antibody and stem cell for site-specific delivery of therapeutics for wound healing and cancers
