Margaret Coad
Assistant Professor, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
Areas of Interest
Professor Coad explores the design, modeling, and control of innovative robotic systems to improve human health, safety, and productivity.
She is particularly interested in applications including robotic exploration of environments where humans cannot enter, human-safe robotic manipulation, robot-assisted human training and rehabilitation, and remote telepresence.
Her research contributes to the fields of robot design and modeling, soft robotics, bioinspired robotics, field robotics, human-in-the-loop control, and physical human-robot interaction.
