International Programs for Engineers
International Programs offered by the College of Engineering feature courses taught by Notre Dame faculty, so you can enjoy time abroad and still graduate in four years.
Applications will be accepted until November 1, 2023.
Most engineering students choose to go abroad the summer after their first or second year (leaving later years open for internships). Semester-long programs offered by Notre Dame International also are options for engineering students.

Dublin, Ireland Summer Engineering
Study and live in Dublin and two other regions of Ireland — the castle-like Kylemore Abbey on the west coast and Sligo on the northwest coast.
Rome, Italy Summer Engineering
Take classes a block from the Colosseum and live and study in the heart of Rome, exploring places of cultural, religious, and engineering significance.
Alcoy, Spain Summer Engineering
Study at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Alcoy and experience the richness of history, industry, and cultural life in the southeastern region of Spain.
London, England Summer Engineering (CBE)
For students in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Explore London and take classes at Imperial College, where you’ll work in a Carbon Capture Plant right on campus.
Berlin, Germany
Summer Engineering
Get to know a country that has produced some of the world’s greatest engineering feats. In addition to classes and field trips, you’ll go on academic excursions within Berlin and other German cities.
Japan Summer Engineering
Study and collaborate with students and professionals at the Kyutech Institute of Technology in Japan.
Rome, Italy Semester Engineering (AME)
For students in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Take a core course taught through the Notre Dame Rome Global Gateway and study with engineering professors and students at La Sapienza, the University of Rome.
Dublin, Ireland Semester Engineering
For students in Computer Science and Engineering. You’ll engage with programming at Notre Dame’s Dublin Global Gateway and take classes with faculty and students at Dublin City University, a technical university.
